Sciensano organizes its scientific seminar “NSIH DAY” every two years, which will take place in 2025 on Thursday, November 6, at the Royal Library of Belgium in Brussels.

The seminar will be held exclusively in person. Presentations will be given in French and Dutch, with simultaneous translation services.

This seminar will present an updated overview of surveillance activities and related projects:
• antimicrobial resistance (AMR, EARS-BE, BELMAP, CRE, etc.)
• healthcare-associated infections (intensive care infections, surgical site infections, bloodstream infections, Clostridioides difficile, etc.)
• the prevention and proper use of antimicrobials (IPC/AMS), including feedback from hospitals and ongoing projects (NAP-AMR, automation of surveillance, etc.)

💡Registration are open until the October 15th 2025(Places limited to 200 people)

💶 Registration fee: €50 per person – €25 for students.

The seminar is aimed at all professionals involved in the prevention and management of infections in healthcare settings: microbiologists, infectious disease specialists, hygienists, laboratory staff, epidemiologists, quality coordinators, public health professionals, etc.
